According to BBC News report dated 23 July 2013: Fake MOT website
warning for Northern Ireland motorists, unofficial website is charging
£45 to book an MOT when current cost is only £30.50. The site, using the
same name as the official site has been reported to Trading Standards
Service to investigate.
Mr Mark H Durkan, Stormont’s Environmental Minister said:
"We have been made aware of a website which has been set up to take MOT bookings, charging customers a service fee of £15.00.”
